  • Some of the previous research projects I have done includes our recent labyrinth project, sixth grade's epilepsy project, roman underworld for Latin, and fourth grade's Colorado state project.
2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
  • To me, research means finding useful information through books and computers.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
  • One of my research successes occurred when I found the perfect website for a particular research project.
  • This experience was positive because I was able to find answers quickly and efficiently.

1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
  • The pre-notetaking sheet helped me find both focus for my topic and reasearch questions to investigate by allowing me to think further into my topic. It also helped me think of a specific part of my topic I wanted to do. I found it difficult to create a fact question from my ideas, because I had listed more than one.

1. What have I learned today?
  • Today, I learned how to use noodle bib note cards, which will help me with this and future research projects. I have also learned how to research a specific topic.
2. What problems have I had?
  • The only problem I had today was finding presentable information on my topic. My topic is a topic most people usually do not pay close attention to. For this reason, it is difficult for me to find answers to my skinny questions leading up to my fat question.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
  • In order to overcome this problem, I will have to broaden up my skinny questions so the articles I find will have answers to my skinny question.
4. What will I do next?
  • Next, I will find more information so I can be clear with my understanding of Greek philosophers influence of their time.

1. What have I learned today?
  • Today, I learned how to work quickly and efficiently, so I can get my work done.
2. What problems have I had?
  • The only problem I had today was finding answers to my more detailed skinny questions. It seems as if the databases do not have a good amount of information about my topic.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
  • The only way to overcome this problem is for me to change my skinny question to a more non-detailed question.
4. What will I do next?
  • Next, I will hurry up and find books for me to source and find valuable information.

  • Today, I learned how to manage my time wisely. Now, I have a new and easier topic to focus on.

  • The only problem I had today was taking in so much information at one time.

  • To overcome this problem, I am going to have to do more reasearch at home during the weekend.

  • Next, I will get mad at myself and continue reasearching about my topic to get it finished before my nerve-wrecking week next week.
